In the old smithy, which was renovated with the help of the European Leader Pogrammes, the new garden book library will be opened on the 4th of March in 2016 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Garden Book Prize.

The books of the German and European Garden Book Prize find a new home here. The first international garden book library in Germany which is initiated by Castle Dennenlohe.

The many books submissions of the German Garden Book Prize, takes place in the Stihl AG and the European Garden Book Prize, takes place in Castle Dennenlohe and will be on display in the historic "distillery".

"Our library will be different, comfortable to browse, with practical guidebooks and rare plants portraits, not to forget the fantastic view over the castle pond" says Baron Süsskind enthusiastically.

The reference library, partially funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), introduces all the books of the two garden book prices and many journals and presents itself  in the imposing Baroque manor. It will at certain times be open to all guests of the castle park and offers an extra exhibition for the German gardenshow in 2019 at Wassertrüdingen.

The library is open on reservation, and on all "Blätterpaktagen" from 4 pm.
